I have received no proper response, and no case number has ever been provided regarding the VCAT matter, despite my repeated requests. At the time, I was unwell and recovering from injury, with no chance to be heard or included. The situation was handled without transparency, fairness, or safeguards.
Payments were made to the Salvation Army during a time of extreme pressure, with the clear understanding that no further harm would follow. That has not been honoured.

No one should be evicted, displaced, or have their home taken from them in a matter of hours.

Should ensure that no action is taken that breaches equal rights, discriminates against anyone, or ignores the legal and human protections owed to people, especially those who are unwell, disabled, or in hardship
Urgent improvements must include
1) A complete ban on same day evictions or enforcement actions that occur without formal service and genuine opportunity to respond considering sleep deprived

2. Immediate suspension of any proceedings or enforcement where the affected individual is known to be unwell, hospitalised, or otherwise unable to participate
– Proper safeguards against abuse of power, including against aggressive or tyrannical behaviour by parties in positions of authority
– Fair and equal access to justice, regardless of personal, health, or financial circumstances
– Long-term housing security, especially during emergencies such as a pandemic or public health crisis, where the risk of homelessness becomes life-threatening

– Displacement and homelessness should never be the result of bureaucratic failure or deliberate inaction. No one should be left without a home — or basic protection — due to health, disability, or circumstance

– The community deserves systems that are not only lawful and accountable but also humane and responsive to the realities people face
