Further details of offence | Suffering lots of heartache caused by my 7 month old child, jasper Crispin and
my ,5 year old twins being removed at birth from hospital, By the department of Child protection. Over us having a Mild intellectual learning disability. And some situational Anxiety. We are parents who function well in society. Are independent with Self care and Domestic Tasks. Drs appointments/ shopping. Live independently. Love and care about our kids. Which is particularly frustrating being an Able person. With lots of love and care, And despite us functioning okey in the community, and having some support . the department of Child protection keep keeping our children seperated From us. My twins are under a long term order. But my 7 month old son Jasper Crispin, DCP are trying to go for a Longer-term term order. Got youth court on Thursday 20th January. We have not been given the chance to be parents 24/7 in the comfort of my home environment. From dusk till Dawn, 24/7 for the Department to see the true results of our parenting Ability. Only under the gaze of DCP workers taking notes, in an office. which is way out of our comfort zone while trying to bond with our 7 month old Baby and twins. DCP make us feel unsafe, because they have hurt us with their lies many times
and it’s hard to trust them. We need to trust them. And feel safe. I had a parenting assessment done, in October 2021, but it was done by a senior social worker at Flinders medical. not an actual psychologist. Still I have not been given the chance to parent my baby :Jasper , who resides in Adelaide with a kinship carer, cousin -Angela . and 5 year old twins. Who reside in Loxton – foster care. |

What can this enterprise do to improve it’s service to community? | 1# DCP need to Treat parents and children with dignity and Respect, 2# give parents with Mild intellectual learning disability the chance to parent with a well supported approach to a parent. Without being biased about a parent. 3# rather than just focussing on child removal from hospital when a parent has a Mild learning disability , 4# DCP need to Let the parent take their child home so that the parent and baby can Bond. and have some monitoring, for a while. To see how the parent goes with their child.
rather than causing unnecessary trauma to the parent/ child by just tearing innocent families apart. |
